| Progress report for Harv's Air Cadets | July 13, 2002 | Submitted by: Adam Penner |
Cadets are building their solo flight hours up to about 4 hours and then practicing manoeuvres such as steep turns, stalls, spiral dives, and slow flight. Early next week exercises next include precautionary landings, forced approaches, and navigation diversions. Progress thus far is excellent and on schedule.
Major Dean Gillrie also visited us today with a great looking 8-GCBC Scout that is used for towing gliders. He give an invigorating speech to the cadets, on what a great opportunity they are receiving and that they should be and that they should strive for greatness.
Clear skies, light south west winds, and +30C...another day in "paradise".

C-GKTJ and Kit are about to slip the
surly bonds of Earth

The most beautiful dream that has haunted the heart of man since Icarus is today reality.
