Progress report for Harv's Air Cadets July 27, 2002 Submitted by: Adam Penner

Weather was clear, +30. Thunderstorms rolled though late evening.

Everybody was in a much better mood today, with the written exam behind them.

Seven cadets completed their long solo cross country (Steinbach-Morden-Lac Du Bonnet-Steinbach) and three completed a smaller cross country (Steinbach-Altona, Rosennort-Steinbach). Cadets all have between 27 and 34 hours of flying.

Ground school will now concentrate on preparing students for the flight test.

Flying is so many parts skill, so many parts planning, so many parts maintenance, and so many parts luck. The trick is to reduce the luck by increasing the others.

Pilots are just plane people with a special air about them.
