Day 5 on to Vegas

The day started out with an absolutely stunning sunrise over the mountains of McNeal, Arizona!

As promised, Jeff and other members of the NTM provided a bunch of hungry guys with a stunning breakfast! Breakfast burritos, fruit, coffee and O.J. Were all in ample supply! Yummy!

NTM even made sure that we all fed well over the lunch hour... Even though we had pushed off for Falcon Field well before lunch! They sent us along with bagged lunches! Thanks guys!

Next stop... Falcon Field!

Falcon field was amazing! Located just below the Class B airspace of Pheonix, it had an amazing mix of General Aviation and Corporate aircraft... A parrallel runway allowed a few of us to come in “formation” with other aircraft on final! Cool!

Thanks to the guys at Falcon Executive Aviation... We had failed to purchase a Vegas Terminal Chart, and althought they were out of them to purchase, they managed to get us copies. This was so appreciated!

The scenery on route to Vegas was stunning... We crossed over the Colorado river, and in the distance we could see the Hoover Dam.

Class B airspace in Vegas was amazing! I am amazed that the controllers can keep track of it all, particularily the guys who are controlling the tower... There is so much going on... But they seem to be able to keep everything in order and organized in a thrilling fashion! After the landing, all of the students were pumped... And rightly so! They did well and sounded extremely professional through some of the busiest airspace that they have ever seen.

Up tomorrow... The Grand Canyon
